    Amidst the New Year celebrations at IIM Bangalore, Unmaad 2013 was launched in style. As the clock struck 12, a crowd of 300+ students who had put on their dancing shoes and were lost in the dhinchak Bollywood numbers, froze in awe when a group of 10 students broke into an impromptu UV light performance. The IIM, Bangalore has submitted its recommendations on 15th February, 2011. The PGPPM is targeted at professionals keen to get engaged in policy making and public system management. The course is meant for candidates from both the Government and other non-Government sectors, said a press statement issued by IIM-B. Launched about a decade ago, the postgraduate programme was primarily meant for mid-career officers from the civil services, said Prof G. Ramesh, Chairperson, PGPPM.

  • Engage with the (Visually Challenged) Indian cricket team

    Vikasana is proud to share some very unique news with you. We are facilitating the practice sessions for the (visually challenged) Indian cricket team in association with the Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled.  The team is using the IIMB cricket ground for a week in preparation for the T-20 World cup cricket tournament for the blind. Vikasana also facilitated practice in 2010, when the Indian blind cricket team travelled to England and won the series by 4-0 (Indian cricket team –  it’s time you took some pointers).

The first-timers included Facebook, Accel Partners, Catamaran Ventures, Merck, Alshaya, EBay, GE, Sony, Shell, DuPont and Uninor. The usual firms who visited IIM B included The Blackstone Group, Goldman Sachs, The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, JP Morgan, Deutsche , Bank and HSBC.Barclays Capital, Citigroup, Nomura, Rothschild and Standard Chartered and Edelweiss.
