    For the past three months, we have seen and interacted in various measures with about eighty new faces from Italy, France, Belgium, Denmark, Mexico, Germany, Sweden, Poland and Austria at the IIM B campus.   • Run to Empower

    Vikasana, in association with Rang de, organized an event Run To Empower, on 12th November 2017. Rang De is a not-for-profit funded by Tata Trusts, working to alleviate poverty by providing low-cost loans to low-income communities in India. In its mission to bridge the gap between rural and urban India, Rang De has raised over 59,000 loans totaling over INR 60 crores. The event started with an address by the guest speaker, Aparna Prabhudesai, at 07.00 am.   • Virasat 2017 – “Qawwali Evening”

    Friday, 17th November 2017 It’s not every day that one gets to listen to a Qawwali Concert, and the IIMB community got just that opportunity last Friday as we hosted Ustad Ateeq Hussain Khan Bandanawazi and his group, Bandanawazi Qawwal as part of SPICMACAY’s Virasat series of concerts. Qawwali is a form of Sufi devotional music with a rich tradition that stretches back for more than 700 years. The great Sufi saint Amir Khusrao is credited with fusing Persian, Arabic, Turkish and Indian Classical musical traditions to create Qawwali as we know it today. Originally performed at Sufi shrines, it gained mainstream popularity and international audience in the late 20th century.…

  • Sangram 2017 – The Championship of Sportsmanship

They reveal it.” – Heywood Broun Early morning of November 17th, 2017 saw four contingents from some of the premier B-schools in India converge at the fog-draped city of Kozhikode to set in motion the Sports war of South IIMs – Sangram.
