With students drowning in academic and cultural activities on campus, Anveshan provides them an opportunity to come up and breath. They organize a host of trekking, mountaineering activities along with food trail walks to provide a welcome break with a new experience to the students of IIM-Bangalore.
Last year, the team from Anveshan organized a series of day treks – “Low frills, high thrills”, to Makalidurga and Shivganga. The day began with a train journey followed by a walk along the railway tracks. “The beauty of the place put my heart at ease and I felt completely de-stressed”, said Ankur, a Senior Coordinator at Anveshan. The entire event was organized by the members of the club. Food trail walk is a new initiative by Anveshan this year- a group of students explored the various street food options around Bangalore. Anveshan plans to organize two food trails every month, catering to different palettes.
This year, the club also plans to host a website, which would serve as a one-stop information portal for all travel & food enthusiasts. To add more, students going on exchange, look out for the best travel guides and tips from our IIMB community.
With all this and more, Anveshan is living up to its name which means “to discover”.
