Kerala: Merger of DCCBs in 18 months

Kerala govt has accepted the recommendations of an expert committee headed by Professor M.S.Sriram (from the Centre for Public Policy, IIM Bangalore), for the formation of the proposed Kerala Cooperative Bank, reports PTI. The committee had recommended completion of the process for formation of the bank in 18 months.

Manish Jaiswal, batch of 2003, takes over as the CEO of Magma Housing Finance and also will be holding additional charge as Magma’s SME business. He has a 25 year experience in the corporate world and a stint with rating agency CRISIL, where he was spearheading the business of Risk Advisory, Research and SME Ratings. He also was a member of RBI’s Usha Thorat committee on Revitalisation of Distressed Assets, which introduced the concept of Special Mention Accounts (SMA), Joint Lenders Forum.
