Road to Unmaad gets young bikers on to the streets

BANGALORE: Several youngsters, mostly students and IT professionals, participated in a city-wide adventure challenge on Sunday morning, braving traffic and performing several tasks before heading back to the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B) campus in the evening, in a run up to the prestigious B-school’s annual cultural fest Unmaad that begins on February 8.

Twenty-six teams of two each started the ‘Road To Unmaad’ from IIM-B campus at 11am and explored the city on their two-wheelers and performed several tasks at eight pit-stops, which had fun tasks like playing angry birds at C Store, ASUS, designing tattoos and their team’s logo at the Brahma Tattoo Studio and Streisand Art, respectively, making paper bags at Green Theory, doing push-ups and squats at Gold’s Gym and playing basketball, archery and Xbox racing game at Olympic Sport Shop, Stanley Sports and The Living Room respectively.

Unmaad attracts over 30,000 footfalls every year and is one of the biggest B-School cultural festivals in the country. The highlights of the three-day Unmaad 2013 will be performances by KK and the French band Scratch Bandits Crew.
