Since its inception in the year 2004, the intensity of Sangram has been unmatched, and the euphoria unparalleled. Traditionally, each campus plays host every alternate year and gives an opportunity to students from the other campus to establish their superiority.

Engage with the (Visually Challenged) Indian cricket team

Visually Challenged Cricket Team

Vikasana is proud to share some very unique news with you. We are facilitating the practice sessions for the (visually challenged) Indian cricket team in association with the Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled.  The team is using the IIMB cricket ground for a week in preparation for the T-20 World cup cricket tournament for the blind. Vikasana also facilitated practice in 2010, when the Indian blind cricket team travelled to England and won the series by 4-0 (Indian cricket team –  it’s time you took some pointers).

126 companies visit IIM Bangalore for summer placements

BANGALORE: Around 126 companies offered internships to 377 students of IIM Bangalore’s batch of 2014.Companies from the financial sector absorbed 27% of the students, 22% acceptances came from management consulting sector, around 12% from IT industry.

The first-timers included Facebook, Accel Partners, Catamaran Ventures, Merck, Alshaya, EBay, GE, Sony, Shell, DuPont and Uninor. The usual firms who visited IIM B included The Blackstone Group, Goldman Sachs, The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, JP Morgan, Deutsche , Bank and HSBC.Barclays Capital, Citigroup, Nomura, Rothschild and Standard Chartered and Edelweiss.

Team IIM Bangalore cracks the case for Dainik Bhaskar

Crack the caseWinners of the ‘Crack the Case’ contest, held by the Dainik Bhaskar Group, have been announced. Out of the five teams that battled it out in the finals, the EPGP team from IIM Bangalore, comprising Suryanarayana Pemmaraju and Vinod Unnikrishnan, was declared the winner and awarded Rs 100,000.
